Their 35-person team of designers, engineers, and strategists works with clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies across virtually every vertical.

Location + Work Eligibility 🌎

Remote · Full-Time US-based or Canadian applicants only (EST hours required) Big Human is based in New York City, but all employees work remotely East Coast hours. Some positions may require occasional travel.

Who You Are

Big Human is seeking a Product Design Lead with 10+ years of product design experience at an agency, studio, or client-side. They're looking for someone with world-class design skills who can see a platform, website, or app through from start to launch. You're a passionate design leader who thrives on solving complex problems and creating meaningful digital experiences.

Qualifications

• A high-caliber portfolio showcasing a variety of complex products with strong visual design, UI/UX, prototyping, typography, and visual hierarchy
• Masterful knowledge of user-centric and data-informed product design with strategic decision making based on data, research, analytics, and business strategy
• Experience designing mobile apps, web products, marketing websites and more
• Experience planning and facilitating design workshops, client reviews, user research, and user testing
• Ability to lead design projects from start to finish with autonomy — including discovery, ideation, workshops, high fidelity design, design systems, hand off, and visual QA
• Lead, mentor, and guide designers on an individual and team level, providing high-level strategic design feedback and direction
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate and defend design decisions to stakeholders
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and willingness to navigate ambiguity
• Figma expert knowledge and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

Nice to Have

• Branding or art direction experience
• Illustration or crafting experience
• Experience in motion graphics or 3D modeling (After Effects, Blender, Cinema4D, Jitter, Lottie, Spline, etc)
• Experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, Framer, or Webflow
• Passionate curiosity about the internet, design trends, and culture
